For a short Singapore work trip, choose a hotel for the address of your meetings—not for a generic “best business hotel” label. The CBD covers several useful bases. Raffles Place suits meetings around the financial district and Marina Bay; Marina View and Shenton Way suit offices further south; Tanjong Pagar is practical when your work is near that MRT station. The three hotels below are examples to compare, not properties we have personally stayed in or tested.

Which part of the CBD should you choose?
Raffles Place and Fullerton Square
Start here if your meetings cluster around Raffles Place, the Singapore River end of the financial district or Marina Bay. The Fullerton Hotel is a useful point of comparison for a central, landmark-style stay. Its official site lists meeting and event spaces; ask the hotel about the facilities you need rather than assuming every room rate includes business services.
Marina View and Shenton Way
Compare The Westin Singapore if the appointment map points toward Marina View, Shenton Way or the southern side of the CBD. Marriott lists event facilities. A prestigious address is less useful if it puts you on the wrong side of town for an early meeting, so pin each meeting on a map first.
Tanjong Pagar
Sofitel Singapore City Centre is a different location choice: its official listing says the hotel connects directly to Tanjong Pagar MRT and offers meeting rooms. That can be convenient for offices nearby, but it is not automatically the best base for every CBD itinerary. Compare walking time from the hotel to each office and the return trip after evening events.
Booking checklist for a two- or three-night work trip
- Map the appointments: compare door-to-door routes to the offices you will actually visit, not just the hotel’s “CBD” description.
- Check the work setup: confirm desk space, Wi-Fi terms and any meeting room or quiet-call requirement with the hotel.
- Read the rate: breakfast, taxes, cancellation and late check-out vary by offer; do not infer them from the hotel brand.

Bottom line
There is no universal winner among Singapore CBD business hotels. Fullerton Square, Marina View and Tanjong Pagar solve different location problems. Choose the area closest to your meetings, then compare the exact hotel room and booking terms. This guide is independent location research, not a first-hand hotel review or a ranked test.
